GENERAL TRAVEL INFORMATION
NB: International family travel
If you are planning on bringing your children with you to Cape Town, please note that all children under the age of 18 – both local and foreign – must travel with a valid passport and an unabridged (full) birth certificate stating both parents’ names. If the child is travelling alone or with only one parent, then they must also carry an affidavit filled out by the missing parent or parents. The purpose of the law is to reduce child trafficking. For more information, please visit the SA Department of Home Affairs .
Visas are issued by the South African missions abroad and must be affixed in the applicant’s passport before departing for South Africa. Visas are not issued on arrival at South African ports on entry. Many nationalities do not require a visa to enter South Africa – please check with your travel agent.
